Yay for May!
It is finally May. I can't believe it. I mean, I haven't been counting down the days or anything since I know that life is going to change dramatically once our baby boy comes and I have just enjoyed the time preparing and getting ready. Its just...so surreal that we are actually going to have a baby. Don't get me wrong...I'm excited and all...but the whole labor and delivery thing doesn't sound so appealing to me. It was comforting to see my sister Hauni deliver her beautiful baby girl with hardly a glitch. I pray that my delivery goes as smoothly!
I can't really imagine what life will be like not being pregnant anymore. I've already forgotten what its like to feel good when you wake up instead of wanting to puke. Or wanting to go out and eat. Or just having energy! This pregnancy has definitely had its stressful times but I am so grateful for the outcome that will soon be here. Am I 100% ready to be a mom? No way. But I am ready to learn and do my best!

Sweet Relief!
Thank goodness for pepcid. I spent most of last night and today writhing in pain due to acid/indegestion/sour stomach/whatever it was that made my stomach feel like there were knives poking me from the inside. I thought I could take a few tums and it would all go away...but no it kept dragging on for hours and hours. Finally Todd brought me home some pepcid and a half hour later I was in heaven!!! Sweet relief. Pregnancy is so much fun.
Lesson learned? I am a baby when it comes to pain...Bring on the epidural!
Quick update on us: I am one midterm and one final away from finishing up at BYU. Todd is still on the hunt for a good job (He is working temporarily at a call center right now) and has submitted his application for grad school. We are STILL in the single's ward (I guess Todd is irreplaceable) and toddles junior is set to make his appearance in just TWO short months. We try and keep our hopes up every day as we try and figure out what the Lord has in store for us.

3 Months...
until my due date! Wow, I can't believe that in a few short months, Toddles Junior is going to be making his entrance into the world! I feel like the second trimester has just flown by. I really haven't let myself get too excited about getting things for the baby yet...until this last week. Now I am so excited to start making room in our little one bedroom apartment for the little one. Even though I don't have a whole room to call a nursery, I can't wait to start decorating our baby's little "corner" in our bedroom.
Me and Hauni finally got a picture together. I am 27 weeks and she is 30 weeks. It has been so fun to be pregnant together! May is going to be a good month!
Today was Todd's last day conducting in sacrament meeting. I'm so proud of him and the amazing job he has done over the past year serving in his calling. He wakes up on most Sundays at 6 and does not usually make it home until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Our last Sunday in the ward will be the 21st of March and then we will be moving on to a family ward. It will definitely be different! It will be nice to be able to sit with him during sacrament meeting. He is still on the job hunt which has been a very frustrating process but at the same time we have felt that everything will work out. We are so blessed to have family who watches out for us and serves us in many different ways.
I'm really going to miss our ward! We had a group come over to our house for FHE and for the activity we all made chin puppets! And then we made some videos of ourselves lip syncing to some popular videos. Sadly I do not have the videos in my possession. But this was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

Best Valentines Day Ever
I really can't believe that it is a Sunday morning and I am awake already. Todd woke up around 6 to get ready for his Sunday meetings and I just couldn't go back to sleep. Maybe its because I'm pregnant and I had to get up and eat breakfast to satisfy my hunger pains. Or maybe its because I'm pregnant and I had to get up and go to the bathroom. Or MAYBE its because I have the most amazing husband and I was too excited to sleep!
I have spent the last two weeks in Dallas, Texas with my brother Derek, his wife Brianne, and their little boy, Easton. Brianne is pregnant and started having contractions pretty early on so she has been on bed rest and they needed a little extra help taking care of Easton. It was a great experience and I am so glad for the time I was able to spend with their family since I don't get to see them often. Brianne has now hit the 35 week mark which is such a blessing since they never thought they would make it that far. I will miss them!
Anyways, it wasn't that much fun being apart from Todd for two weeks, but the reunion was so much fun!! He was waiting for me at the airport when my plane arrived at 4 in the afternoon...with a beautiful bouquet of roses. We had decided to celebrate our Valentines day then since it just seemed more fitting. We drove home and Todd had totally decked out the house in Valentine decorations- Balloons, heart shaped boxes of chocolates, streamers, paper hearts, and candles! AND the house was spotless. What more could a girl ask for? Well, Todd went beyond the call of duty! He made me the most wonderful dinner with a menu consisting of King Crab legs, cheesy potatoes, salmon, cauliflower and cheese sauce, garlic bread, and sparkling grape juice! Mmm! He set the table all cute too and even played romantic music in the background.
How lucky am I? I just had to brag about my sweetheart for a moment because he really pampered me last night!! I am also grateful that it doesn't take a holiday for my sweetheart to let me know that he loves me. He definitely went all out for Valentines day, but his day-to-day actions always show me that he cares about me and he tells me like a hundred times a day that he loves me. I love you, Todd! Happy Valentines Day!
Here are some random pictures I just uploaded from my camera:
Me and Easton the morning that I left. He is either smiling so big because he got a good night's sleep or because he had a REALLY stinky diaper.
Yet another reunion at the airport! I feel like I am always leaving Todd behind and we have had this scene so many times...next time Todd is definitely coming with me!

Expecting
And then again today at 20+ weeks....
Ultrasounds are so much fun. It was so neat to see our little baby moving all over the place. Not only did we find out that our baby is growing properly, but
we also found out we are having a...
we also found out we are having a...
BOY!!!
(This pic shows it all)
We are beyond excited!!
Almost 21 weeks
(Right after my ultrasound)
Notice: I am wearing blue...I knew it was going to be a boy!
We are so happy and excited to welcome this little one into our lives! We waited until 18 weeks to tell most of our family so we could do it on Christmas day. Fall semester was pretty rough because I was taking so many credits and I was SO sick ALL of the time. It wasn't really fun throwing up in the school bathrooms all day long and dragging myself to class (or missing class altogether) but Todd was such a sweetheart and did everything in his power to make life easier for me. Now I just get sick in the mornings which is a TON better than all day long. Anyways, that has been my pregnancy thus far.
I'm due May 28th.
Now we just have to come up with some cute boy names.

Breathe
Someday when I have more time (when school is finally over) I will have a real blog and update it when we actually have cool things to say besides talk about all the school and homework we are doing right now! But for now I will just post another video of Taylor Swift because I love her music!!! This song is so awesome and she is singing it with Colbie Caillat (what could be better???!)
Did I mention I love this song?
P.S. Only four more weeks of class and then finals...that makes me so happy!!! :-)
